No HACCP, No Business

Implementing HACCP meant the difference between staying in business and closure. A grain storeowner depended on one customer. The customer insisted that the grain store maintained its quality accreditation. The customer's auditor identified an inadequate HACCP system. This resulted in the business losing its accreditation and the business closed.

We worked with the business owner to re-write and implement the HACCP Plan. The consultation involved on-site systems auditing, one-to-one tuition, regular telephone conferences and exchange of e-mails to revise HACCP documentation written by the owner. Success in the next audit resulted in the restoration of accreditation and a resumption of business. The auditor complimented the business owner on his HACCP system.
